Overview
US App (“we”, “us”) provides a directory of Black-owned businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to operate the service, and we do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information. Email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you create an account.
- Content you submit. Reviews, ratings, photos, saved favorites and business information you post or claim.
- Location. With your permission, approximate or precise location to show nearby businesses. You can revoke this at any time in device settings.
- Usage data. Device type, app version, crash reports, and basic analytics used to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
- To operate the app and provide search, discovery and review features.
- To verify business claims and moderate content.
- To communicate about your account, support requests and important updates.
- To protect the service against fraud, abuse and policy violations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the app (for example, cloud hosting, analytics and email), and only as required for them to perform that work. We may disclose information when required by law.
Your choices
You can view, update or delete your account and associated content at any time from within the app or by contacting us. You can disable location permissions in device settings. You can opt out of non-essential communications.
Children
US App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, though no service can guarantee perfect security.
